Julian R. Mock
Was appointed Scouting Director of the Cincinnati Reds in January 1990. He was a territorial scout, full time and part time, for 24 years. Additionally, Julian has had Pro experience with the Pirates, Diamondbacks, and Marlins. He was an ultra successful High School Coach for 11 years at Southwest High and Murphy High Schools in Atlanta, and the Principal at North Clayton High School for 17 years. His teams at Murphy won 131 games and lost only 35, winning four consecutive Atlanta City Championships and two State AAA Championships.
Harry L. Lloyd
Formerly the Head Baseball Coach at Westminster Schools for 37 years. He worked as a scout for the Milwaukee Brewers and the Philadelphia Phillies. During his years at Westminster, his teams won the Georgia State A Championship in 1967 and 1968, and his 1975 team captured the State AA title. From 1971 through 1973, Harry managed in the Philadelphia Phillies minor league system, winning a pennant in 1973 in Auburn, New York, which earned him the league’s Manager of the Year award. Lloyd is a member of the prestigious GA Coaches Hall of Fame. He is a superb hitting instructor who breaks down and teaches all phases of the game.
John R. Guthrie
Was the Associate Commissioner of the Southeastern Conference (SEC) for 22 years. Prior to that, John was the Head Basketball Coach at the University of Georgia for five years, where he also worked as an Assistant Baseball Coach. Before going to UGA, he was an Assistant Basketball and Baseball Coach at George Washington University in our Nation's Capitol. John's playing career in both basketball and baseball was at Oglethorpe University where he is a member of the Hall of Fame. John also served as a part-time scout for the Phillies, Angels and Royals.
Joe W. Jordan
Highly successful Head Baseball Coach at Southern Union Community College in Wadley, Alabama for 21 years. Joe’s teams have been regionally and nationally competitive and he has produced numerous players who have played at the Senior College and Professional level, including several players who competed at the Major League level. He was also the Assistant Baseball Coach at Jacksonville State University for three years and was the Head Coach at Newnan High School (GA) for four years. Joe is an outstanding instructor in all areas of baseball, especially hitting and middle infield play.
